Wrike App Gets a Bold Redesign for Android 5.0 Lollipop

Wrike's app for Android™ has been redesigned for the latest Android OS update, Android 5.0 Lollipop. Because we want you to be the first to benefit from the latest innovations in the mobile space, the redesigned Wrike app now boasts the same bold colors, fluid animations, and simplified layouts that characterize Lollipop.

What's distinct about the Lollipop OS and the design principles it was built from (Google calls it Material Design, we call it "awesome") is its emphasis on simplicity and on being able to know where you are in the app at all times. These characteristics are now front and center in Wrike.

?ere's a quick rundown of what's new in the updated Wrike app:

- Gorgeous new design: Round avatar photos, and a redesigned task list and task view so you get a clearer look at your tasks.

- Better navigation & performance: Whether you're viewing your task list or your Activity Stream, navigation is now improved and more fluid.

Now, whether you have just a couple of spare minutes or half an hour, you can invest the time into your work productivity: Check task updates, take part in the discussions, adjust schedules, instantly spot important tasks and much more! Sounds great? Then it’s high time to download your mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play. In August 2014, we relaunched our iOS app! Check it out on the App Store! Now, whether you have just a couple of spare minutes or half an hour, you can invest the time into your work productivity: Check task updates, take part in the discussions, adjust schedules, instantly spot important tasks and much more! Sounds great? Then it’s high time to download your mobile app: The new apps are incredibly intuitive, so let us quickly run over the main points just to give you the look and feel of mobile Wrike.The core of the app is the “magic button” that allows you to quickly switch between different views. All in all, there are five of them to address your main productivity needs: Stay on top of your tasks. The “To-do” gives you a perfect overview of your responsibilities, deadlines and important tasks across all projects. You can either focus on your own tasks or check the plan of a particular team member. Tip: Right swipe a task to mark it complete. Keep up with the project’s progress. Yeah, that’s our favorite – the Activity Stream, a digest of the latest news, task updates and discussions. Now you can keep your finger on the pulse of your team’s work whenever and wherever you want. Tip: To add a comment to any entry, tap on the corresponding update and then type your message. Take good care of your ideas. In the “Someday” view, you’ll find all the tasks without the start and due dates. It’s a perfect place to neatly organize all your ideas and “someday/maybe” plans. After you’re done with urgent tasks, open the “Someday” section and spend time on your backlogged tasks. Tip: When you need to add the due date, tap the task to open the task details, tap the “no date” icon in the upper right corner and choose the required due date. Make use of every second. The benefits of time-tracking are familiar to all information workers, but we’ve prepared a special bonus for our mobile app users: a “Timer” that counts the time you’re spending on a task. And don’t forget to leave a comment on your time entry so that you can easily recall the essence of your task later. Tip: To put the timer on, tap on the “+” at the bottom of your Time Tracker screen and choose to start tracking. Keep an eye on the “inactive” work. Don’t let “inactive” tasks disappear forever in the whirls of day-to-day work. The “Archived” view gives you quick and easy access to all completed, cancelled and deferred tasks. Though they are so different in nature, there are three “hot spots” that are common for all of them and remain on the screen at all times: 1) The huge “plus” button at the bottom of the screen that provides you with an easy way to create new tasks; 2) The “search” icon at the right-hand bottom corner that lets you find people, tasks and folders from any part of your mobile Wrike; 3) Filter options at the top of the screen that allow you to drill down to tasks placed in a certain folder or assigned to a certain team member. Speed Up Task Collaboration on Your Android

One of the top request of our Android users was making editing tasks easier on their mobile. In the latest release, we've improved task editing with the two powerful features: Live Editor and Offline mode. Now you can quickly update task description, add images, immediately track changes, and make notes even when you don't have Internet connection. A completely rebuilt experience of editing tasks We've considerably improved the experience of editing task descriptions, making it faster, smoother, and introducing some new capabilities: - Task descriptions load faster and instantly display all changes - They support Android Swipe keyboard so you can type faster - Now you can add images, copy and paste text, edit rich text, create bullet points and check lists Try it out now and you'll immediately notice the difference! Work offline Whether you're on a plane or just don't have an Internet connection you'll be able to access your tasks and get work done in offline mode. The new offline mode allows you to create new tasks, make edits, and add comments while you're offline and all changes will be automatically synced and uploaded when you get online. Navigate faster with favorite folders We've added another feature to Android app that is already familiar to you from the web. Now you can keep the folders you use the most often on top of the folder tree so you can get to your most important information faster.
