Client Management
What is the difference between client services and project management?
For professional services firms, client services and project management go hand in hand. While a client services manager and project manager may work closely with each other (and largely in service of the same outcome), their day-to-day priorities are slightly different.
Client services is about tending to the needs of a client or clients. On the other hand, project management is more about maintaining a clear path to project completion. A client services manager may be concerned with onboarding a client and communicating directly with them about what they need to succeed. Meanwhile, a project manager is concerned with meeting deadlines, managing resources, and staying on-budget.
