10. Get clarity quicker with custom field descriptions
Do you ever log into a task and wonder what on earth the owner is talking about? It happens in every company — acronyms, jargon, and industry terms that are meant to save time actually cause more confusion.
That’s why we introduced custom field descriptions this year. Now you can:
- Add descriptions to custom fields that pop up when you hover above table columns
- View descriptions in the item view pane, and when adding/selecting custom fields
- Quickly understand field purpose, type, available options, and other metadata
It’s a simple tweak that delivers big, cutting out all those “what does this mean?” Slack messages, speeding up onboarding, and making sure small misunderstandings don’t turn into big mistakes.

9. Organize tools easily in spaces
This is the anti-clutter update that the minimalism fans among you have been waiting for. In 2025, we introduced the ability to:
- Group dashboards, reports, calendars, and other tools into folders inside each space
- Organize tools by team, product, client, year, or any structure that fits your workflow
- Cut down on “scroll and search” time so users can find exactly what they need, fast
All of this functions like a curated toolkit for your spaces, making them cleaner, more intuitive, and tailored to how your organization actually works.
8. Launch work quicker with custom space templates
Why reinvent the wheel every time you want to create a new team or launch a new project? Our new custom space templates help you replicate what works for you — in three simple steps:
- Start by configuring a space once with the right workflows, item types, dashboards, and tools
- Save that space as a reusable template
- Launch new departments, programs, or client work in just a few clicks
Apart from saving hours of setup (and days of back-and-forths), this new upgrade also delivers consistency at scale. Templating excellent work delivers a uniformly strong service that colleagues, customers, and clients can rely on.

7. Automate timelines with dynamic dates
Just as the sky is blue and the grass is green, project timelines never go exactly as planned.
Whether it’s an unexpected absence, a new roadblock, or an external issue, there’s always something that throws off the projected delivery date.
This year, we made our automation even better with dynamic date management, which handles all the busywork of project scheduling. Using our new actions and an expression editor, you can now:
- Reference custom field values to calculate dates
- Build conditional logic around deadlines and durations
- Take both working and non-working days into account
Once you’ve set up some basic rules, your project timelines will adapt to real-world calendars and challenges without constant manual intervention. So no more tasks landing on Saturdays or burnout-inducing expectations — just smooth, adaptive timelines that take you from intake to delivery in a realistic time frame.
6. Move faster with new mass actions
For power users managing large volumes of work, the new ability to make mass actions in Table view was a game changer. Super popular with people like project managers, financial controllers, HR departments, and more, this new change means they can:
- Switch assignees across many items in one go (for example, if someone goes on long-term leave or changes teams)
- Shift dates in bulk when timelines move (ideal for those unpredictable project schedules!)
- Convert tasks to milestones en masse (a simple way to break complicated projects into more manageable steps)
Combined with the reintroduced undo/redo function in Table view and the new ability to mass-enable project progress, this year Table view became an even more powerful command center for portfolio-level changes.
As an added bonus, you can even share your setup externally using public links now, giving stakeholders read-only visibility into key tables without granting them full workspace access.
5. Spot bottlenecks faster with workflow metrics
Of all the powerful features that make Wrike special, our dynamic dashboards are pretty close to the top of the list.
They’re the engines that drive all our work — as individuals, as team members, and as part of an overall department or organization. Every year, we add more and more capabilities to dashboards, and 2025 was no different.
Our new workflow metrics deliver an exceptionally deep level of insight into your dashboards, helping you to:
- Track total, maximum, and average time items spend in each status
- Analyze status changes over time across projects, assignees, and item types
- Use templates for interrupted workflows, average status times, and total time active
There were other improvements too, including new activity stream, calendar, and notepad widgets, but they’re all too numerous to cover fully here. Head over to our Help Center to explore everything you can do today to make your dashboard shine in the year ahead.
4. Find what you need fast with all-new filters
We all know how frustrating it can be to search for one specific task, scrolling through results, hoping to see the title you’re looking for. To combat this problem — and save you hours of searching every week — we rolled out a whole new set of filters last year.
As part of this push, all of these views got a major upgrade:
- Table view
- Smart folders
- Dashboards
- Resources view
- Files view
- Board view
- Calendar view
With more flexible filtering options in all these areas, it’s easier than ever to narrow in on exactly what matters — by owner, status, dates, custom fields, and more — so you can find what you need fast. No matter how you like to look at your information, you can now slice and dice it in a much more powerful way.
3. Stay in control with configuration and account governance
Modern work environments — particularly in global enterprises — demand complex configuration. In 2025, we worked to make managing that easier, with extra tools in the administrator’s kit, including:
- A bird’s-eye view of all workflows and custom item types across the account and spaces
- The ability to quickly spot duplicates and inconsistencies
- Detailed change history, showing who created or last edited items, and when
These governance tools are bolstered by other upgrades, including read-only custom fields with granular permissions, the ability to replicate custom views across locations, and default space tools that keep large accounts organized and easy to use.
2. Transform ideas into action with Wrike and Klaxoon
When we announced our acquisition of Klaxoon in 2024, we knew that visual collaboration would become a cornerstone of our work management solution.
Less than a year later, we made that a reality with the introduction of Wrike Whiteboard, powered by Klaxoon.
This incredible new feature puts the cool back into collaboration, making it ideal for brainstorming, strategizing, and decision making. It’s not just fun, it’s also super functional — AI interprets, groups, and structures your ideas, even turning them into Wrike tasks in a single click.
That means no more wasted time or lost ideas — just a seamless transition from creativity to productivity, all in the place where the work actually happens.

Reimagine productivity with cutting-edge AI solutions
Drumroll, please … our top highlight for 2025 is AI agents, part of our ever-expanding Wrike Wrike Work Intelligence® suite.
AI agents are smart, no-code assistants that live inside your workspace and take action on your behalf. Think of them like digital assistants, ready to be deployed wherever you need them most. For example, you can:
- Use built-in agents for risk reporting, task triage, and intake validation
- Create your own agents in minutes — no development or coding skills required
- Let agents watch projects, analyze context, and trigger updates, notifications, and automated workflows
This year, we just kept on adding more and more strings to our AI bow, which we track in an ongoing blog post on “Wrike AI: Our freshest features and newest innovations.” Some favorites include:
- New automation triggers for approval workflows
- AI comment summarization for thread highlights and suggested actions
- A generative AI tool for summarizing discussions and creating content
Together, these capabilities mean less time chasing status updates, writing routine copy, or manually nudging approvals — and more time spent on high-impact work. Our customers are already reaping the rewards of this new technology: UK-based digital marketing agency Jellyfish has saved three to five hours a week on individual workloads and slashed the time spent on client call summaries by 95%.
