Wrike Establishes European Headquarters in Dublin

It’s official: Wrike has set up shop in Europe! On Monday, with IDA Ireland, we announced the establishment of a European Headquarters in Dublin and the creation of 50 jobs over the next two years. The Wrike team joined Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton in Dublin for the announcement. The new headquarters will support Wrike’s high-growth and dedicated customer support across Europe and the UK.  Following the announcement, Wrike CRO Seth Shaw spoke with Irish media to discuss the expansion news and its impact on Ireland's growing tech community. Check out the highlights in BBC’s Good Morning Ulster, Irish Independent, The Irish Times, RTE News, RTE Morning Business News, Silicon Republic, Irish Tech News, and Belfast Telegraph. He talked with Silicon Republic’s John Kennedy about how the digital sector’s growth in Dublin made the city a no-brainer choice for establishing Wrike’s European headquarters. “There is no better market in Europe for this than Dublin, and you can make a strong argument that Dublin is the San Francisco of Europe," he said.   Adding to this, our Founder and CEO Andrew Filev said, “We are impressed by the tech community in Ireland and aim to build a dynamic and ambitious team in Dublin...We have grown at a record speed over the past few years and our European HQ will market and support Wrike prospects and customers across Europe." Seth's visit to Dublin was part of Wrike's European tour, which included speaking at EnterConf 2015 in Belfast. The Wrike Productivity Tour Takes New York

We launched the Wrike Productivity Tour in March with the goal of giving both new Wrikers and power users the opportunity to learn from customers and internal Wrike experts. After stops in San Jose, Seattle, and Los Angeles, we wrapped up the first leg of our nationwide tour with a successful event in New York City.  Event Highlights The New York event featured great conversations, networking, and customer panels presented before a full crowd.  Customers Etsy, Gwynnie Bee, Motivate International, and Criteo shared their best practices for adopting and using Wrike.  Members of the Wrike executive team, product experts, and productivity professionals shared resources to help attendees get the most out of their work management solution.  Breakout sessions allowed attendees to discuss their specific use cases with Wrike team members and fellow users.  A networking session after the event let everyone mingle, ask questions, and of course grab some drinks and a bite to eat.  If you’d like to see the customer panel presentations and breakout sessions, you can view them on the New York Productivity Tour Community thread.  Next Stop: A City Near You Thanks to all of you who attended — we loved meeting you!  Want the Wrike Productivity Tour to make a stop in your city? Digital Workplace: Emerging Theme at the #GartnerPCC Summit L.A.

This past Monday, Gartner analysts Tom Austin and Mike Gotta talked about the new ways people and technology engage one another, demonstrating four new "Cool Tools" -- including Wrike. In fact, at the end of the session when the audience was asked which of the vendors looked like a keeper, the people responded with your #1 project management tool: Wrike. Thanks, everyone! The Portals, Content & Collaboration (#GartnerPCC) Summit is an annual gathering hosted by Gartner, Inc. where business leaders gather to share ideas about creating and sustaining customer, employee, and partner engagement for bottom-line growth. Wrike being presented on the big screen. Our Takeaways from the Summit All throughout #GartnerPCC, one of the key themes being discussed was the digital workplace. It's the idea that the traditional workplace is making way for a new way of working -- where organizations are  fueled by insight gleaned from collaborating with the right people and using the right technologies to improve content and engagement with customers. Some stats we picked up that reinforce many of the ideas we've been discussing here on the blog for years: 60% of jobs in the US are non-routine (i.e., not structured processes), up from 40% in 1975. The number of telecommuters increased 79% from 2005 to 2012, resulting in more geographically dispersed teams than ever. From 2000 to 2012, the importance of team-oriented output grew from 20% to 50%.   The keynote speeches and sessions supported what we've known all along. The modern workplace has evolved from individual silos to collaborative teams; from structured routines to non-structured work; from onsite employees to remote team members; from desktop computers to Bring Your Own Device & Apps. They also talked about the new needs of the modern workforce, not just in terms of apps, technology, and IT support, but also the importance of having leadership that "gets it."

Geneva Health Forum: Key Takeaways from the Wrike Workshop

We're back from beautiful Switzerland, where leaders from a range of industries congregated at the 2014 Geneva Health Forum to advance global health issues. It was exciting to be a part of the energy and commitment of 1,000+ attendees all dedicated to making a difference in the world. We're grateful to have been part of the action, helping to facilitate international collaboration as an official Productivity Partner. Our CEO Andrew Filev participated in several activities, contributing to a panel discussion and leading a workshop about the power of online collaboration. He shared his insights on the emergence of remote work and the corresponding tech enablers. Some key takeaways included: 80% of workers deal with remote work, and remote collaboration is moving to the cloud. Cloud-based services ensure the whole team has easy, reliable access to work, no matter where they are. Social project management tools tap into people's established sharing habits to create an environment of open collaboration. Mobile technology is crucial in granting workers access to information from anywhere on the globe. With the incredible amount of information workers now have access to, important, actionable insights can be uncovered--with the right tools to crunch the data. These four tech enablers combine to connect teams, reduce errors, and make collaboration more efficient. Andrew also gave tips on how to foster innovation through knowledge sharing, encouraging attendees to lead by example and proactively share documents, processes, and plans with their teams. We continue to be inspired by the brilliant minds that use Wrike to collaborate from around the world, working together for the greater good. Here's to continued innovation and collaboration in our partnership with the Geneva Health Forum! Update: Take a look at the slides from Andrew's collaboration workshop on Slideshare!

Our champion CEO will wrap up his day by participating in a panel discussion on a topic near and dear to his heart: Big Data and the promises and challenges it brings to global health. Curious about what you can learn from Andrew's morning workshop? Here's a teaser: "Here at Geneva Health Forum, many of you might be asking: "Why would a healthcare organization need project collaboration software?" We spoke with a healthcare institution that relies on Wrike to find out how an organization operating in this industry can benefit from a project collaboration tool... So to answer the question..." Hope to see you at the forum and events. We're eager to revolutionize health care and increase international collaboration — because all our futures depend on it.

Become a Task Organization Ninja: Watch Our Recorded Dashboard Webinar

On March 25 we kicked off a series of "How-to" webinars designed to spotlight Wrike's individual features and help you become a productivity powerhouse. To start, we tackled a hot topic among Wrikers: using the Dashboard to organize tasks and personalize your virtual workspace. Your Wrike Dashboard is like the instrument panel of an airplane, giving you a comprehensive overview of your tasks. It was designed to streamline your workspace, so you can focus on what you want to get done. The Dashboard comes pre-loaded with five default widgets that are useful for all types of work habits, and taking full advantage of them boosts your productivity. On top of that, custom widgets let you decide what is the most important work to keep front and center. Our “How to Become a Task-Organization Ninja with the Dashboard” webinar uncovers the tips and tricks for making the most of both types of widgets. In the recorded webinar, Wrike-expert Joy will help you: learn the secrets of productive workspace organization, apply best practices citing case studies and research statistics, use default widgets to keep your task list organized, transparent, and accessible, create custom widgets tailored to your needs or chosen project management strategy, and follow a 5-step action plan to maximize your dashboard's usefulness. The recent webinar was a great success, attracting 1,000 attendants! Take a look at what people are saying: "I just wanted to send you a note about how great the Dashboard webinar was. My group considers me a 'power user' of Wrike, but I got a lot of really great information and new tricks that I’ve already started putting into use." — Saralyn Smith Program Manager; Brandman University "Joy used real-life scenarios to illustrate how to customize the dashboard. This translated to fitting mine to the projects I'm working on. It's already helping me quickly work through the most important issues on my plate." — Karen Jackson Project Analyst; Mercy Corps "It was an excellent presentation; very helpful. The presenter was terrific, very knowledgeable, and presented with a steady flow and reemphasized in the right places." — Lawrence P.
