Wrike Launches Program to Improve Productivity and Collaboration for Students

Mountain View, CA, January 7, 2016 - Wrike, the work management platform for high-performance teams, today launches collaboration tools for students, a new program that gives college and university students free access to its real-time project management and collaboration software.

The growing popularity of hybrid and online courses has been a big win for students and has created new opportunities for learning. But it’s also created a major gap in how students work together on group projects. “MBAs and other students are asking the same question as businesses when it comes to collaboration: Where do we store our information so that we’re always on the same page? Email isn’t enough, and long running chats or group text messages fail to provide enough organization,” says Brad Sanzenbacher, program manager for the initiative at Wrike. 

Students now have the ability to manage their work with the same level of instant visibility as Wrike’s 10,000 business customers. With integrated tools for text and document collaboration, task assignment and status tracking, and project timeline management, Wrike allows students to access all their team’s information through the cloud from mobile devices as well as web browsers. 

“Our goal is to start a major shift in how students work together,” says Sanzenbacher. “Chasing down updates and files from classmates when a project due date or presentation is looming shouldn’t be a part of student life.” 

Wrike has been used in the past by student groups competing in solar car contests, Google X Prize teams, engineering projects, and entrepreneurship courses. By formalizing this program into a toolset for all students, Wrike hopes more students will seek a better way to work.
