Wrike Enhances Task Management and Collaboration for Microsoft Outlook Users with New Add-In

Latest Wrike Integration Now Available in Microsoft Outlook for Desktop, Web and Mobile Applications

San Jose, Calif. – Wrike, the work management software for high-performance teams, today announced the Wrike add-in for Microsoft Outlook. The add-in enables Outlook users to leverage Wrike’s powerful collaborative work management tools directly from Outlook, enhancing team collaboration and task management and leading to higher productivity. The add-in is available for Microsoft Windows desktop, Mac and Outlook on the web.  Workers on the go will also be able to access this capability from Outlook for iOS and now Outlook for Android.

“Organizations today are faced with increasingly complex business processes particularly as they scale to meet new demand and must use multiple tools to collaborate,” said Wrike CEO Andrew Filev. “At Wrike, we’re constantly innovating to infuse collaborative work management capabilities into all elements of work to make that ecosystem as seamless as possible. This is critical to managing the deluge of digital work while improving productivity.”

With the Wrike add-in, Outlook users will be able to easily add emails to Wrike as tasks and transform email conversations into structured work. Once in Wrike, this work can then be more effectively managed, tracked and reported. Specifically, Outlook users can:

  • Create new tasks from emails – Quickly capture work coming from emails and make it actionable by easily adding them to Wrike as tasks.
  • View and edit tasks – See tasks as they appear in Wrike; with text formatting and images. Update attributes like status, assignee and due date all in Outlook.
  • Send and receive Wrike comments - Avoid complicated email threads and collaborate more effectively on work by sending and receiving Wrike comments on tasks.
  • Add emails as comments to tasks - Tie emails back to existing work and ensure all communications about projects and tasks are in a single place.

“Add-ins from our ecosystem partners give our customers access to the most popular work and productivity apps without leaving the flow of their work in Outlook,” said Rob Howard, Director of Office Ecosystem, Microsoft Corp. “We're excited to be working with Wrike to help our mutual customers work more collaboratively and get work done quickly.”

The Wrike Outlook add-in is just the latest development with Microsoft as Wrike continues to deepen its integrations with the Microsoft Office ecosystem. Earlier this year, Wrike announced integrations with Microsoft Teams and Actionable Messages, bringing collaborative work management to Microsoft Office 365.
