I recently submitted a presentation to be featured at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference 2010 in Boston. My session will be called “Popular to Ubiquitous: How to Skyrocket Adoption.” In this future session, I plan to develop the ideas that I previously mentioned in my “Email is Dead… Long Live Email!” slide deck. By the way, my “Email is Dead” presentation was marked as “Hot on Facebook” and placed on slideshare.net home page, since the slide deck was talked about on Facebook more than any other document on SlideShare at some point. I really hope that the talk about skyrocketing adoption will generate even more interest.
You can find the description of my session proposal at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference site and leave a comment there. I would really appreciate your support and feedback!

A couple of weeks ago, I took part in the Enterprise 2.0 Conference San Francisco. As usual, it was a very interesting event, and I was glad to make my contribution to the discussion. Below is the presentation I prepared for the Enterprise 2.0 conference’s Enterprise2Open session. My session was not meant to be just a regular speech. I wanted to create a discussion and share the stage with other E2Open participants. That is why many of the slides in the presentation contain questions to the audience.

Bas de Baar from Project Shrink interviewed me at the PMI Global Congress and asked me about Project Management 2.0 and our project management software, Wrike. I tried to briefly explain my view on what the new trend in project management is about. My opinion may seem controversial to some of you, but I think it’s only natural. Project Management 2.0 is an emerging trend, and it constantly evolves.

At the PMI Global Congress that I attended in October, I met many project management practitioners. Some of them asked me about my views on Project Management 2.0. One of the questions was “How is Project Management 2.0 different from what many organizations have today?”
I decided to summarize my answers and came up with a short list of key factors that distinguish Project Management 2.0 from traditional project management.

Today, I entered the IT Blog Awards 2009 held by ComputerWeekly.com. My blog is nominated in the project management category, and I hope you’ll be able to support me in this contest. This is a U.K.-based blogging competition open to blogs that are originated outside of U.K. I think the ComputerWeekly Blog Awards is a great initiative that will help professionals from IT and other industries find the best authors, sharing their real life experience and useful tips. By the way, my fellow blogger Elizabeth Harrin, the author of the PM4Girls blog, won the best IT Project Management blog award from ComputerWeekly.com last year.

In the first week of September, I started getting ready for one of the biggest project management events of the year. I expect PMI Global Congress to be a very valuable experience. Though my view of project management is not canonical and sometimes generates hot debates around it, I do believe that PMI is doing a good job at building connections between project managers and allowing them to share their experience and skills with each other. PMI events play a significant role in moving the whole industry forward, and I’m happy to take part in one of these events this October in Orlando, Florida.

The Enterprise 2.0 conference wrapped up in Boston a week ago. Now, it’s pretty interesting to read the conference impressions here and there. Bloggers and journalists made various conclusions about what the major goals, messages and results of the event were. Here are a few picks:

The Enterprise 2.0 Conference is a great opportunity for networking, sharing ideas and learning something new. It puts all those things into a nice package, where each item fits well with the other. Besides, it’s an excellent relief from the daily routine. A lot of innovative ideas get born when you mingle with your peers, customers and media folks.
What I really like about the conference is that the organizers offer a great variety of networking opportunities. Besides the intriguing keynote speeches and workshops, you’ll be able to participate in special programs, including Evening in the Cloud and Enterprise2Open.

The whole Enterprise 2.0 community is getting ready for the Enterprise 2.0 Conference, one of the biggest events in our industry, which will take place June 22-25 in Boston. The keynotes list looks promising, to say the least. It includes several sessions to be presented by gurus of the industry such as Andrew McAfee, Associate Professor, Harvard Business School; Ross Mayfield, President, Chairman and Co-founder, Socialtext or Jascha Franklin-Hodge, Chief Technology Officer & Founding Partner, Blue State Digital.
