Wrike gets inline editing

We made keyboard navigation much friendlier for you with this week’s release, to make your work easy and comfortable. Now you can make changes to the title, status, responsible party or the due date without opening the task.

Click the right pane with the task list and use these keyboard shortcuts to increase your productivity:
• UP/DOWN ARROW keys to move around your task list.
• LEFT/RIGHT ARROW keys to move between the columns title, status, assigned to and due date.
• ENTER to update the field and save changes.
• TAB to go from one editable field to another.
• INSERT to create a new task.
• ESC to cancel editing or create a new task.

It is just a matter of a double-click to update a task, if you prefer to use the mouse. As before, you can use the "Edit task" link to change the details of your task.

    Looks very handy!
I’ve got one question: how do I save the updated status or due date? I don’t see the “save” button anywhere.

Chris, thank you for your question.
Press ENTER to save your changes if you use the keyboard. Or click any other area of your workspace if you use the mouse.

Looking forward to being a LONG time customer.

But first, I'm on a Macbook... no insert key!

What is the keyboard shortcut to create a new task? :P

    Thanks

    Hi Ray,

We added a special shortcut for creating tasks on Macs. Instead of "Insert", you can hit "C" on your keyboard. Thank you for choosing Wrike!
