As Nature of Work Rapidly Changes, Wrike Celebrated Growth with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and CEO panel on “Future of Work”
San Jose, Calif., April 18, 2018 — Wrike, the collaborative work management platform for high-performance teams, today announced the opening of a new 23,000+ sq ft office in Downtown San Jose. The company has entered into a lease agreement with Lift Partners and Blox Ventures. The space will serve as Wrike’s global headquarters and support the growth of its operations, sales, marketing and client success teams.
The opening was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at the new office on 70 North Second Street. The ceremony was officiated by San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and City Councilmembers Raul Peralez and Johnny Khamis. It was followed by a tour of the space and a live webcast of a panel talk on the future of work featuring Wrike CEO & Founder Andrew Filev, Zoom CEO Eric Yuan and former CEO of Jive Software Tony Zingale.
Highlights from the talk:
Andrew Filev: “The challenge is not to give the simplest product out there. The challenge is to give people something that truly solves their business needs. Not just during an evaluation, but beyond day one, week one, year one, etc. Something that can grow with their needs and at the same time be simple enough for adoption. That’s the billion dollar question.”
Tony Zingale: “It’s amazing how this market has come full circle. All the apps today have built in collaboration and that’s the point! We’re on video conferencing, project management, you name it. You gotta have a collaborative set of features Because that’s the way we live. That’s what we said in 2009 and that’s the way we now work. We demand it.”
Eric Yuan: “We truly believe Video is the new voice, the pure phone call will be gone. Look at the workforce, the millennials. They never call each other, they always use video.”

“It’s been an amazing journey,” said Filev. “Just five years ago, we were in a single-room office with 12 employees, working tirelessly to build the best solution in a fast-growing space. We’re now a leader in collaborative work management with 600 employees globally and not slowing down. We’re excited to plant our flag in Downtown San Jose in this beautifully restored building and be part of the revitalization of this historic neighborhood.”

The 23,535 sq ft. free-standing building was renovated last year and boasts new features including a new high performance sash window system; atrium light-wells; interstitial stairwells that connect the entire building; wood truss ceilings; and skylights.
