Set a task date constraint
Wrike allows you to set date constraints for dependent tasks on the timeline, so that you can build even more accurate project schedules. After you have created a strict dependency between two tasks on the timeline, simply drag the dependent task to the proper start date:

This way, you set a task date constraint shown as a solid blue bar attached to the dependent task. Here’s what your timeline will look like after the change is made:

With an addition of the date constraint in this example, the dependent task can start neither before the preceding task finishes (as defined by the finish-to-start dependency) nor before the date constraint. If your plans change and you need the dependent task to start as soon as possible you can remove the date constraint by dragging the dependent task back or by extending its duration to start immediately after the preceding task. These actions will remove the date constraint and you will be able to reschedule both tasks as dependent but without the date constraint.
