Duplicate a folder

Duplicating folders is very helpful when you have similar projects that reappear from time to time, with basically the same milestones.

Right-click on a folder you want to duplicate and choose "Duplicate folder" in the pop-up menu 1 .

In the dialog’s entry field, write the name for the new project and customize it:

  1. The template folder is always copied with its subfolders and milestones, but if you want, you also can copy the tasks with their descriptions, and assignees 2 .
  2. Adjust the new project’s schedule 3 . Set the start date of the first task in the folder, and the other tasks will be rescheduled accordingly. They keep the same sequence, durations and time intervals as in your original folder. If you leave this box unchecked, the tasks’ dates will be identical to the schedule in the original folder.

The next time your prospective client calls you to say you’ve won the project, you can set up and customize a new project plan in just a few minutes!
