Customize the dashboard view
To organize the data on your dashboard in the way that is most convenient for you, you can easily add new widgets and rearrange their layout:
- To choose a new widget from the default list, click on the "Configure" button in the upper right-hand corner 1 and check the boxes near the widget’s name to display the widget on the dashboard.
- To remove an unnecessary widget from the dashboard, click on the cross in its upper right-hand corner 2 . To permanently delete the widget, click on the small cross icon that appears when you move the cursor over the widget’s name 3 . To restore the deleted widget, click on "Build your own widget" to choose the appropriate category of tasks from the list 4 .

In addition to the default widgets, you can build your own widget with a combination of tasks filtered according to the criteria you need. Go to the project folder 1 and filter the tasks by the necessary criteria in the task list 2 . If you want to include the tasks from subfolders, too, press the "Descendent" button 3 . You may want to sort tasks by priority, title, status, due date or start date. If you want to see your highest-priority tasks at the top of the list, choose sorting by priority 4 . After that, just click on the widget icon in the upper right-hand corner of the filters panel 5 , give your new widget a name and add it to the dashboard. You can now quickly access the tasks that meet your criteria from your dashboard.
Wrike’s custom widgets are very useful if you need to:
- Monitor the state of a specific project.
- Watch the tasks of a particular person or team.
- View overdue tasks and today’s tasks in one list.

Finally, you can rearrange the layout of widgets on the dashboard by using the drag-and-drop function. Click on the widget, hold the mouse button and pull it to the place where you want to see it 1 . You can delete unnecessary widgets 2 to give more space to the remaining ones. If you need to quickly switch from a custom widget to the task list, press the small "expand" button 3 . You’ll be taken to the respective folder with the tasks filtered according to your widget’s settings.
