Intelligent Email Engine™

Wrike's Intelligent Email Engine™ allows you to create and update tasks from your favorite email software. Use your favorite email client (Outlook, BlackBerry, Gmail or any other) to create tasks anywhere, anytime.

By default, you receive email notifications about the changes made by other people to the tasks assigned to you and the tasks that you have created. The system is smart enough not to send you notifications about the tasks that are created or updated by you.

Additionally, you can specify the notification type in each folder and receive notifications about tasks shared with you that were created by other people and assigned to other people. Open a folder to edit. Switch to the "All" type of notification to receive notifications about the changes in all tasks within the folder.

Alternatively, you can turn off notifications for a particular folder by choosing "None."

Here's a roundup of the notifications rules:

  • By default, the author of the task and the assignees get notified about changes.
  • People who are subscribed to "All" notifications for a folder get notifications about all underlying tasks.
  • If the change was done through email, and you were one of the recipients, Wrike will not send you a duplicate notification.
  • The person who did the change does not receive a notification.
