Intelligent Email Engine™

Wrike's Intelligent Email Engine™ allows you to create and update tasks from your favorite email software. Use your favorite email client (Outlook, BlackBerry, Gmail or any other) to create tasks anywhere, anytime.

Type the date in the "by MM/DD" format at the end of the email subject, and Wrike will help you keep track of the task. Or, "by DD/MM" if you set another date format in your account. Alternatively, you can set the due date in square brackets: [MM-DD] or [DD-MM] depending on the date format set in your account.

If the year is not specified in your email, the task will be scheduled for the current year. When you need to schedule a task for another year, you can explicitly specify it in the subject in the following format: "by MM/DD/YY" (or "by MM/DD/YYYY") or in the international format, if you set it in your account ("by DD/MM/YY" or "by DD/MM/YYYY").

Wrike only process due dates set in the format mentioned above. All other ways to indicate the due date, such as "by Feb 20," "by Feb 20th," "by February 20th," etc., are not recognized as tags in Wrike and treated as a part of the task name.

Wrike helps you keep track of the task by sending automatic reminders about the task to the recipients of the email. So instead of reminding people about their tasks and deadlines, you can focus on yours. If you set the future due date anytime past tomorrow, the task is automatically converted into a milestone. If you do not explicitly set the due date, the task is created with the default due date set for today. You can later sort and filter tasks by due date, creation date, start date, completion date and the date when the task was last changed.
