Integration: Set up the add-in
|
Once you have installed Wrike's Outlook add-in, you will see the "Wrike" button 1 in the main menu of Outlook. Before you run the add-in, you need to enter your credentials. Click on the "Wrike" button 1 and choose "Preferences" in the drop-down menu 2, then enter the login name and password 3 that you use to login to your Wrike account. To set the synchronization settings, switch to the "Synchronize" tab 4. There you can set the frequency for automatic synchronization of your tasks 5. The minimum sync frequency is 5 minutes. When changes to tasks are simultaneously made in both tools, the data is updated in accordance with the priority settings. You can set them in the "Conflict Resolution" tab 8. If you select "Wrike" 9, the data in Outlook is changed in accordance with the changes in tasks in Wrike. And vice versa, if you select "Microsoft Outlook" 10 the data in Outlook is changed in accordance with the changes in tasks in Outlook. If one of the locations is not active 11, this means that you have selected one-way sync in the "Direction" tab. You can easily change that by going to the "Direction" tab 12 and choosing the "Update in both directions" option. If you choose one-way synchronization ("Only update Wrike data to Microsoft Outlook") 13, the priority setting for the location without sync (Microsoft Outlook) is unavailable. If you choose one-way synchronization ("Only update Microsoft Outlook data to Wrike") 14, the priority setting for the location without sync (Wrike) is unavailable. Other features:
