To set a due date for your task when you create it, follow the same steps as for setting a task due date via email. Type the date in the "by MM/DD" format at the end of your wave title, and Wrike will help you keep track of the task. Or, use "by DD/MM" if you set another date format in your account. Alternatively, you can set the due date in square brackets: [MM-DD] or [DD-MM] depending on the date format set in your account.

If the year is not specified in your wave title, the task will be scheduled for the current year. When you need to schedule a task for another year, you can explicitly specify it in the subject in the following format: "by MM/DD/YY" (or "by MM/DD/YYYY") or use the international format, "by DD/MM/YY" or "by DD/MM/YYYY," if you set it in your account.
Wrike only processes due dates set in the format mentioned above. All other ways to indicate the due date, such as "by Feb 20," "by Feb 20th," or "by February 20th," are not recognized as tags in Wrike and are treated as a part of the task name.
