Integration

Data import usually is used to support templates in Wrike. You can export a template project into an Excel file and import it later as a new project. To import an absolutely new project:

1) Create a new Excel 97-2003 file on your computer.
2) In the first row of that file, type the headers of your columns 1: title, status, priority, assigned to, start date, duration, end date, dependencies and description. All headers are required.
3) Fill in details to better describe your tasks. You don't need to enter the full information about each task, you can enter only task title and set the status as "Active". If you type anything else besides "active" in the status field, the task will not be imported. Also, please ensure there are no formulas in your Excel file. If you want to set dependencies, enter the keys of the predecessor tasks in the "Depends on" column. Keys are listed in the first row.
4) If you plan to import your tasks into an existing folder in your workspace, simply click on it 2 and then import your Excel file by clicking on the "Import Excel File" icon 3.

If you need to create a new folder and/or subfolders, you need to indicate that in your file. You can do that by adding a row with the path to your new folder 4.

If necessary, you can include a task in several folders by typing the task title under several folder titles 5. After the import process, you will be asked to associate users from your contact book in Wrike with the names found in the imported file. Then you get your project organized in your workspace 6.
