How can I assign a task?
You can assign tasks via email as well as in your online workspace.
Assign a task via email.
- Write an email with the task to the responsible party.
- Put wrike at wrike.com in the "To" or "Cc" field and send the email.
You can attach files to your emails, or paste pictures right into them. The task will be instantly created in Wrike, assigned to the email recipient and shared with you. If the responsible person does not have a Wrike account yet, he or she immediately gets an invitation to join Wrike and have 24/7 online access to the task.

The person is in your contact list
If you want to assign an new task:- Click on the "Create task" link.
- Choose the appropriate name from the drop-down menu in the "Assigned to" field.
- Double-click the "Assigned to" field.

Alternatively, you can
- Click on the task bar in the panel on the right to expand it.
- Open the task to edit by clicking on the "Edit task" link.
- Choose the name of the person to whom you want to assign a task. For your convenience, you can use the drop-down menu.
- Click on the "Create task" link.

The person is not in your contact list yet
If you need to add a person to your contact list, you need to grant him or her a license to use Wrike. You can do it by going to the "User management" tab in the "Account" section and typing the email addresses of this person in the box. Then click on the "Grant" button. Once a person confirms his or her email address, he or she will be instantly added to your contacts.
If you are not an administrator, you can ask your account administrator to grant a license to the person to whom you want to assign a task.
If you are subscribed to the free version of Wrike, you can upgrade your account to the professional version, so you can grant licenses .
