Request status update automatically

Published by Valerie  |  Thursday, 15 March, 2007
We are crazy about the Wrike features that make the life of managers easier, and now we let you avoid composing typical requests the status update of a task.

The request is automatically sent when you click the link “Request status update”. A new message to the responsible people is created in your e-mail client. The message contains the template text, but you can add any specific questions you are interested in.

You may need to use this feature if the due date is far into the future, but you want to know what is going on at the current stage. You can also use it if the task is overdue or you simply have lost your temper:)

Request status update feature is currently working only if your desktop has default e-mail client setting on. It is mailto: link. We initially implemented it this way to protect our users from junk e-mail. We will later implement this feature in a way, so it works directly from your workspace.

    Laura,
We will do it, but it is not high priority for us, because there is a simple work-around available for people who use Gmail instead of desktop e-mail client:

That link didn't work but I found what you were trying to direct me to. I previously used "gmailto" which opened up gmail but didn't fill in the address or message. This works perfectly, thanks!
